The first mobile telephone was introduced into the UK in 1985, and very quickly we recognised the potential of the 'Mobile Telephone' and we started a communications division. At this time, mobiles were only 'affordable' by top company executives, They were very expensive and were definitely not as portable as they are today!

We knew that communication would be an essential part of any successful business and started building up a client base that we are now very proud of. In the beginning, we decided to concentrate on businesses and individuals in and around the Aberdeen area to provide them independent advice with the added advantages of dealing with a local company. Today we cater for customers as far a field as Inverness and London.

During this time we have been loyal to our service providers and have gained & sustained a solid working relationship. Unlike the majority of mobile phone dealers we have not 'churned' our base to other airtime providers to benefit our financial position.

We have worked closely with companies like Hutchison Telecom, Project Telecom and latterly Vodafone Business Solutions, now connecting new customers direct to Vodafone Limited.

This has become the largest division of Autosonic and we are delighted to be one of Vodafone's main business partners in Scotland, if not the UK. Working daily with a specialised support team at Vodafone they provide our customers with a very high level of customer service. In many cases, with the customer's permission, we manage the customer's complete account. This takes the hassle aspect from our customers and saves them both time and money.

With a high level of expertise, our aim is to provide a high level of service at a competitive cost, working with customers to provide solutions and cost savings without sacrificing the coverage. We stock a level of handsets, hands-free car kits and accessories from many leading manufacturers at all times.

At the end of 2004, Autosonic purchased the mobile telephone database from another Aberdeen based company Pocket Solutions Limited. This acquisition has increased our base by around 1000 numbers to over 5000 active subscribers, ranging from the individual user with one handset to an account with close to 500 users.
